✿ Drug Additions + Unrelated Interest Check! ✿
Hi, Ryslig!
It's Monet, mun of one noxious nymph, Gamzee Makara. Another batch of newbies has rolled in, and I haven't made a post like this in a while, so here we go! I'll separate comment sections below so it's easier to navigate.
✿ Drugs
As you may or may not know already, Gamzee has a (quite successful) drug business going. He's a nymph literally made of marijuana, which he harvests from his body and sells to the inhabitants of the peninsula. For all the information on that, you can check out my initial info post here, which also includes his (painstakingly converted lmao) prices.
With that out of the way, I would like to utilize this post to inform all current and future clients (and their muns) of two new products he will be adding to his catalog, so to speak. One of the new drugs available will be hallucinogenic mushrooms, and the other new drug will be methamphetamine. The mushrooms will start to grow on him starting this Fall (so, now, basically), and the meth will be available soon. He's teamed up with Vaas Montenegro and Oren in sort of a Breaking Bad-esque team, though somehow they manage to be even more dysfunctional. I haven't decided specific prices for them, but they'll be much pricier than the weed.
AS ALWAYS, to place an order or if your character has any IC questions about this, they can message him on his private channel. If you have any OOC questions, feel free to drop a comment right here!
✿ Tabloid Interest
If drugs aren't your thing, don't despair! Gamzee is going to attempt starting up yet another business venture. Along with the exotic dancing and drug dealing, he is also going to be publishing Ryslig's first tabloid! It's going to be nothing but a trashy gossip rag, but I'll talk about it more in the meta sense just to get all of my ideas across!
Basically, my idea was that perhaps I could get some OOC (or IC!!) submissions from all of you guys! It would be like an IC anon meme, sort of, where characters could anonymously submit rumors about themselves or other characters (or even whole articles about them/others, really the sky's the limit) to Gamzee, and he would publish them as fact for the whole peninsula to see.
I figure this would be good for a laugh or two, and also as sort of a preemptive icebreaker for making new CR! If your character reads something ridiculous about Character X in the tabloid, they'd have an excuse to go up to them going "Hey, weren't you the one who was claiming to be abducted by aliens!?" and that could kickstart some new CR.
SO TL;DR thinking about starting a fun stupid tabloid full of bullshit, would like to know if anyone would be interested in that sort of thing or if it just sounds convoluted, etc. Let me know below!
